As Christians, we are to worship God and be joyful towards Him. After all, He is our Rock of our salvation. He has given us everything, and He is our Great King. His hands are so powerful to hold the mountains in His hands. He formed the dry land too, in all its fullness.
Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods. He holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land, too.
–Psalm 95:1-5 NLT
He watches over those who have a relationship with Him. There, He takes care of them, us under His care.
Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today! –Psalm 95:6-7 NLT
He doesn’t want people to harden their hearts, but some have. Some won’t listen and obey what God says in His Word. They won’t listen to that still small voice. They go their own way, want to follow people’s ideas instead of the whole-teaching of God. They follow idols when God says “Not to”.
The Lord says, “Don’t harden your hearts as Israel did at Meribah, as they did at Massah in the wilderness. For there your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw everything I did. –Psalm 95:8-9 NLT
God gets angry about how people sin against Him. His anger is pure. He does not do any such wrong because He is pure and righteous. He is a holy God. He has told many to come to Him through Jesus Christ, but most reject His salvation and what He has done. Why have you rejected the truth?
For forty years I was angry with them, and I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’ So in my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest.’”
–Psalm 95:10-11 NLT
Many will not come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ…but I ask to reconsider. You could die today. He’ll help you through trials and sufferings, and best of all, if you accept Him today…you’ll live forever with Christ in heaven. Don’t you want the peace that on;y you can receive Him by faith? Jesus told us, “Come to me who carry heavy burdens, and I’ll give you rest.”
